The sheets can be used for the top of your cake or cut with scissors for your desired needs. 
The pre-cut strips are used to wrap around the sides of your round or sheet cake. 
The pre-cut circles that are for cupcakes, cookies and chocolate covered oreos. 
 
 
To figure up the size of strips you will need, take the size of the circle cake and multiply it by pi.
This will give you the circumference. 
Example: 8" round cake
8 x 3.14 = About 25 inches
So you will want two of the 13" long strips
To find the height needed for the strip you will figure up how tall your cake will be.
A good rule of thumb is each layer is about 2" so if you were doing a double layer cake it will end up about 4" tall
So a double layer 8" round cake would need two of the 13" x 4" strips.
You can always go taller if you wish, these can be easily cut with a pair of scissors.
